Four tiers — not one figure
The difference between tiers isn’t just the amount but what you actually get: DT4 grants no residence card at all, just an annual visa with no automatic renewal.
What the process consists of
Status is tied to the capital of a company registered in Vietnam, not to the applicant’s personal assets — funds must be genuinely invested in the business, not merely declared on an account.

Frequent questions
Why does the site show ≈$115K rather than $3.83M?
Because $115K (the DT3 tier) is the minimum amount that grants a residence card (TRC) at all. The DT1 tier from $3.83M is the top, longest option (card up to 10 years) — not the only entry threshold.
What happens if I invest less than VND3B?
You fall into the DT4 tier — it grants only an annual visa with no residence card. Status formally exists, but without a multi-year card; renewal requires yearly re-filing.
Does this visa lead to Vietnamese citizenship?
No. DT1–DT4 is a visa and, at a sufficient tier, a residence card (TRC) — not a path to citizenship.
Can family be included?
Yes — DT1, DT2 and DT3 holders may obtain an accompanying TT visa for spouse and children. DT4 holders do not have this option.
How stable is the dong against the dollar?
The dong is not tightly pegged like some Gulf currencies — the rate floats. USD figures on this page are indicative at the checked-date rate (≈VND26,109/$ as of 26.08.2026); the exact threshold is always fixed in VND.
What happens if capital is withdrawn from the company early?
Status is tied to maintaining the capital in the registered company — the exact consequence mechanism for early withdrawal is not disclosed on this page; check with the appointed firm before filing.
